Characteristics  All mammals are vertabrates.  Most mammals walk on 4 legs other than most primates and humans.  Mammals hearts and lungs are not in their stomach but are seperated by a muscle of tissue.  All mammals have started from reptilian families.  A mammals lower jaw has a single bone on each side.

4. Abundance and Geographic Distribution  Mammals can be found everywhere, water, land, and even the sky.  Land: Lions, Tigers, and Bears.  Water: Dolphins, Seales, and Whales  Sky: the bat is the only mammal that can fly.

6. Natural History and General Biology  Tasmanian Devil, Sperm Whale, Dog, and Human.  Tasmanian Devils are so small but can be deadly as a grizzly bear.  The Sperm Whale is the largest toothed Whale.  There are over 800 dog breeds in the world.  There are 206 bones in adults and 300 in kids.
