3 Introduction 1. English in Taiwan has become more and more important. There are more and more English cram schools in Taiwan are established. 2. This report is mainly based on a face-to- face interview. 3. The results are conducted based on the interview, and they are divided into five sections.

5 The history of City’s English This company was started ten years ago. At first, it was called 大衛美語. The boss dropped out and started his own business “City’s English” ( 大都 會美語 ) about eight years ago.

6 The service City’s provides “4” students in each conversation class only. Focuses on teaching adults English conversation. Teachers will call each student three times per month. extra lessons are freely offered if students can not pass move-up exam.

8 Employee requirements The basic requirement is “bachelor degree.” Teaching experiences is not really necessary. City’s is willing to train you into a good teacher. Passionate and enthusiastic of being an English teacher.

9 City’s overall vision City’s English provides business English courses. City’s recently gets the opportunity to be one of the co-agents in Taipei Literature Festival. You can read City’s column on China Times twice a month. City’s will open a branch school in Taichung

11 The history of HESS English Mr. Joseph Chu, and his wife, Ms. Karen Hess, established Hess Educational Organization in 1983. Over the past 20 years, they have grown from Karen and Joe’s original 60 students to over 60,000 students in their various programs.

26 Conclusion English ability becomes more and more important. We students whose majors are English have English as one of our strengths, but we still need to build other strengths City’s English and HESS English are both good choices for us to work.
