2 Training Trends in the Employment Services Industry
Training Trends Plan Training Trends in the Employment Services Industry The following presentation examines factors that are driving training trends in the employment services industry. Four emerging trends are discussed. Goals, objectives and strategies that would enable CSET to address these trends are identified.

3 Factors Driving Trends
Improving economy Job hopping Shifting age demographics in workforce Shift in the way people want to communicate Some factors that are driving training trends are: Improving economy Job hopping Shifting age demographics in workforce Shift in the way people want to communicate According to Bixhorn (2015) Americans are increasingly optimistic about the job market so more and more individuals are leaving jobs that are unsatisfactory and finding new work. This job hopping places an increased demand for qualified workers and for training new workers. Another factor driving training trends is the shift in the age demographics in the workforce. Baby Boomers are reaching retirement age and leaving the workforce. With this exodus of older workers the need for knowledge retention is increasing at a rapid rate. Millennials know represent the majority of the workforce. This generation communicates differently. This is driving the shift in the way in which information is delivered. Some have called the Millennials the on-demand generation.

4 Four Training and Education Trends
Knowledge retention increasingly important Video content preferred over written content Social media for learning On-demand access Based on the need for knowledge retention more and more organizations are turning to videos that “show rather than tell” (Bixhorn, 2015). Screen recording technology “allows employees to demonstrate colleagues how to preform a task) (Bixhorn, 2015). The use of video cameras on smartphones can also assist in producing these valuable videos. Using social media for learning has also become a big trend. Leveraging social media in training programs is the wave of the future. With social media staff can connect with subject matter experts from all over and learn through interaction and collaboration. As mentioned previously the Millennials are the on-demand generation. The creation of training programs that can be accessed anytime, anywhere is a trend that is gaining momentum.

5 Goals, Objectives, Strategies
Create a video library YouTube® Channel Mobile learning options Personalization There are four goals that CSET must achieve to remain relevant in the employment services industry. Create a video library YouTube Channel Mobile learning options Personalization First efforts should be focused on the creation of training videos that are our clients would find useful as they embark of their job search. Second the creation of a CSET YouTube® channel to house and present these videos on demand. The third goal would be to create content that is accessible across multiple devices. Fourth CSET should create training plans and offer content based on the individuals personal needs. This can be done using technology that reviews the clients profiles and presents content according appropriate for their desired job. An example would be resume preparation tool tailored to the industry where they are targeting their job search.
