6 Japan – entrance requirements Knowledge of Japanese Foreign students are encouraged to study 2 years for a Japanese M.Sc. degree before starting Ph.D. studies

7 Japan – time spent To reach a Ph.D. degree –3 years is normal –2 or even 1 is possible for good students
