11
Dixie College Bookstore Psychology class Upper Division 24 hardcover +1 e-book = 25 students Digital Book - $49.00 Regular Text - $115.00
12
State of Utah College Bookstores BYU, U of U = 2-3% Digital Sales UVU, SUU, Dixie, Snow = 1% Digital Sales
13
Special Note – There is a bigger demand for audio books in colleges than there is for digital books. Why? Because of students who have difficulty reading.
14
Other thoughts at Dixie with digital texts 1.So many college students are now re-entry students who prefer traditional books. Is that an age factor? Or simply what they are used to and don’t like change. 2. No computer at home, forcing students to do ALL reading and homework at the school computer center 3. Other class styles – 1/3 digital book 1/3 interactive online and 1/3 classroom instruction
15
