Multi disciplinary team We do not work in isolation but as part of a team. There is a need to discuss options. Care plans made with the woman (and extended family unit as appropriate). Language important here

When we think of promoting health midwives need to be aware of women’s health issues generally as women are all unique individuals with a history before we meet them and their lives will continue after we finish caring for them. examples include her previous experience of: family planning services cervical cancer screening services breast screening services infertility services
