(I am next to my friend ____________) Person 1 says: Estoy Person 2 says: cerca de Person 3 says: mi amigo/a Person 4 says: someone’s name Person 5 runs over to fill in the gap. The two people that were next to the person who had their name called jump in the new gap to start over.

Let’s change it up a bit… Estoy cerca de mi amigo/a que lleva (color). Example: Estoy cerca de mi amigo que lleva azul. If there is more than one person who is wearing that color, then it is a race to see who fills the gap first. Whoever gets there first, the other player has to return to their original spot and then play continues like before.
