Comparisons To compare two unequal things, actions, or quantities, use the constructions más (+ noun/adjective/adverb +) que and menos (+ noun/adjective/adverb +) que. Tengo más planes que Fernanda para este año. Seremos menos perezosos que el año pasado. Tú llegaste al colegio más tarde que Sara. Berta nada más que nadie.

Demonstrative adjectives and pronouns
You can also use a demonstrative pronoun with an accent mark on the stressed syllable (éste, ése, aquél) to avoid repeating a noun. Use the neutral forms (esto, eso, aquello) to refer to an idea or to something that was said or done. agrees with Ese diseño para el póster es mejor que aquél (aquel diseño).
