Capitulo 1: Familiares y amigos Nouns are either masculine or feminine? –o is for boys ; –a is for girls and –e for both Nouns are either singular or plural. Nouns must agree in number and gender. If the noun ends in a vowel, add –S to make it plural. If the noun ends in a consonant, add –ES to make it plural. Adjetivo/Adjectives: What is an adjective? An adjective describes a noun. Present-tense of regular verbs 1. Remember that in Spanish there are three groups of regular verbs. 2. Verbs that end in –ar, -er, and –ir are in the infinitive form. 3. To form the present tense of a regular verb, you drop the –ar, -er, or –ir and add the appropriate present-tense ending. 4. Use the present tense to talk about what someone is doing or what someone does.
