4. Past Participle To form the past participle, take off the infinitive ending and add the appropriate past tense ending -er  -é -ir  -i -re  -u

5. Manger – to eat J’ai mangé – I ate Tu as mangé – you (inf) ate Il/Elle a mangé – he/she ate Nous avons mangé – we ate Vous avez mangé – you (for)/ y’all ate Ils/Elles ont mangé – they ate

6. Maigrir- to lose weight J’ai maigri – I lost weight Tu as maigri –you (inf) lost weight Il/Elle a maigri – he/she lost weight Nous avons maigri – we lost weight Vous avez maigri –you (for)/y’all lost weight Ils/Elles ont maigri –they lost weight
