Quasimodo Rip out and hand in Cuaderno p. 6 Move your desks so that you are sitting right next to your 12 o’clock partner. Make sure that together you have 1 marker board, a marker, and a tissue. Answer the following questions in complete sentences: 1.¿De dónde es Sr. Noorman? 2.¿De quiénes son los libros? (Juan y Miguel) 3.¿Qué es? (notebook)

Tiempo In Spanish, we use SER to tell time. Some vocab: – La hora – Los minutos – #’s 0-30 (if you don’t know them yet, STUDY THEM!!!)

En punto To say “It is one o’clock” you say “Es la una” To say any other hour you say “Son las [hora]” Examples: 9:00 = Son las nueve. 10:00 = Son las diez. 3:00 = Son las tres

En punto You need to use “la” and “las” with time because you are taking about “la hora” which is feminine. For midnight you say: “Es la medianoche.” For noon (midday) you say: “Es el mediodía.”

Es la/son las ___ y ____ When talking about time up to the half hour, you use… Es la/ son las [ hora ] y [ minutos ] Examples: 9:10 = Son las nueve y diez. 1:25 = Es la una y veinticinco. 2:16 = Son las dos y dieciséis.

Quarter past/Half past Cuarto for quarter past Media for half past Examples: – Son las seis y cuarto. – Es la una y media.

Country Project: Visual Aid – Must include information from the overview sheet AND a map Presentation – All parts in Spanish EXCEPT you can add in more info about your famous person and festival in English. Written portion – Made up of 2 paragraphs. 1.Introduction of yourself and telling a bit about where you live (USA) 2.Introduction of your friend (imaginary friend from your assigned country) and tell me a bit about their country (same info as your presentation, but in written form).
