Remember: Subject pronouns stand for other subjects. Use the form of the verb that matches the correct subject pronoun. What form of the verb would you use if your subject is “Lucie?” “est” (because Lucie = elle) What form of the verb would you use if your subject is “Lucie et moi?” “sommes” (because “Lucie et moi” = nous) What form of the verb would you use if your subject is “Lucie et toi?” “êtes” (because “Lucie et toi” = vous) What form of the verb would you use if your subject is “Lucie et Claire?” “sont” (because “Lucie et Claire” = elles)
