2 Tell to whom or for whom something is intended. May be found in two places: 1. Before a conjugated verb: Le voy a dar el libro a Pablo. I’m going to give the book to Pablo. Ella les va a regalar las corbatas a sus amigos. She is going to give (as a gift) the ties to her friends. (Yo) Les compro las corbatas a Juan y Rafael. I am buying the ties for Juan and Rafael.

3 I.O. Pronouns 2. Attached to an infinitive (verb not conjugated): Voy a darle el libro a Pablo. Who receives the book? Pablo Who carries out the action?- 1 st person-I Ella va a regalarles las corbatas a sus amigos. Who receives the gift?- her friends Who gives the ties?- 3 rd person-SHE Yo voy a comprarles las corbatas a Juan y Rafael.
