3  Your travel agency is promoting a touring plan to explore the different natural regions of our country and their beautiful ecosystems.  For this reason you are designing a touristic brochure to promote a National Natural Park and the region in which it is located showing their most important aspects in an interesting and motivating way.

4 First Stage Exploratory stage Bring general information about the chosen natural region of our country and their most important national natural parks. Look for their location, their natural resources and their general characteristics. From July 14 th to 21 st Second Stage Guided Stage. First draft of a touristic Brochure with the required information about your region and the natural park chosen for your work. From August 13 th to 20 th Final Presentation Oral presentation Oral explanation of the work using a Brochure and other creative material elaborated by students. from August 28 th to September 2nd.

MATH Expressing quantities through fractions Students will express interesting information about our country using fractions taking into account the knowledge acquired during the classes SCIENCE Ecosystems Animal Adaptations The students will be able to describe the different ecosystems found in the Colombian natural regions, including the information required about their location, climate, fauna, flora and any other individual characteristics that allow us to recognize the real importance of these places, using accurate language related to the topic.

Evaluation: Understanding and proper use of comparatives and superlatives in written and spoken explanations about the regions. MATH: Activity: Information research about statistical data such as area, population, endemic species, weather average among others of the chosen region. Evaluation: Presentation of the statistic information required. SCIENCE: Activity: Look for information about the different ecosystems found in the chosen region. Evaluation: Presentation and selection of the general information about the different ecosystems found in the chosen region. GEOGRAPHY: Activity: Look for information about the main aspects of the natural region chosen for your brochure. Evaluation: Presentation and selection of the most important information of the Natural region chosen for the elaboration of the touristic brochure. HISTORY: Activity: Look for information about the historical places and facts related with the independence process found in your region. Evaluation: Presentation and selection of the most important information of the historical places and facts related with the independence process found in your region.

Evaluation: Written description of the facts and features of the region and Natural Park in a detailed, clear and organized way. MATH: Activity: expressing the data collected about the region and the Natural Park selected using fractions. Evaluation: Graphic representation and expression of the data collected in fractions. Example: 3/6 of the natural regions in Colombia have ocean around. SCIENCE: Activity: Description of the main characteristics and specific features that compound the chosen ecosystem. Evaluation: Brochure draft with the information required about the chosen ecosystem

Evaluation: Brochure draft with the required information about the natural region of our country in which your ecosystem in located. HISTORY: Activity: Main information Evaluation: Brochure draft with the information required about the historical places and facts related with the independence process.

10 The student have to show and explain the brochure as a touristic advertisement, focusing in the Colombian riches and taking into account the different aspects and subjects. English: Writing the brochure in English using descriptions, making comparisons using different adjectives, talking about Colombian riches in written and oral way. Maths: Writing descriptive sentences and drawing graphic representations of the fractions taking into account the knowledge acquired during the classes Science: Finding out the different ecosystems of the Colombian natural regions, and talking about their main characteristics and importance

11 History: Talking about the most representative historical places found in the different natural regions of our country and talking about the facts and characters involved. Geography: Identifying the main geographical and cultural characteristics of the natural regions of our country.
