CONJUGATION SER ESTAR estoy soy somos estamos eres estás está es son
I am We are You are You are (used in Spain) sois He is She is They are I am We are You are You are (used in Spain) estáis He is She is They are estoy soy somos estamos eres estás está es son están Don’t forget accent marks!

SER is to be (am, is, are) Use to talk about characteristics that generally do not change Use for descriptions that are not about conditions or locations Use for talking about time For example: who a person is or what a person is like: Teresa is my cousin and she is very funny → Teresa es mi prima y es muy graciosa. what something is or what something is like: The tacos are my favorite food. They are extremely tasty. → Los tacos son mi comida favorita. Son riquísimas. where a person or thing is from: My parents are from Mexico. → Mis padres son de México. telling time: It is seven in the morning. → Son las siete de la mañana.

ESTAR is to be (am, is, are)
Use to talk about situations that tend to change Use for location of people or things For example: how a person feels: I am sick and he is tired. → Yo estoy enfermo y él está cansado. where a person or thing is at: Where are the books? They are in the backpack. → ¿Dónde están los libros? Están en la mochila.
