Activity #1: Look up five foods en francais, and then write them out, adding the appropriate “a” (une vs. un) in front. MASCULINE AND FEMININE: AND WHY THEY MATTER Example: pizza = feminine hamburger = masculine This affects how you say “a” une = “a” (feminine) un = “a” (masculine) Example: a pizza = une pizza a hamburger = un hamburger
