Students will demonstrate Novice-Low proficiency in oral and written exchanges with respect to proper pronunciation, intonation, and writing mechanics. Essential Questions: How do you greet someone formally and informally? How do you say goodbye?

Formal vs. Informal You use the formal form when talking to adults. For example: you would talk in a formal form with teachers, parents, grandparents, etc. This shows respect. You use the informal form when talking to your friends (amigos), people your age or children.
