8. The Fruit of the Spirit Is Faithfulness Initial Words {98} “Faithfulness” could also be called “fidelity.” It speaks of endurance, a firmness of purpose, especially when the going is tough. Faithfulness implies steadfast adherence. Synonyms include loyalty: undeviating allegiance; constancy: freedom from uncertainty; staunchness: strong allegiance to one’s principles or purposes; and resoluteness: unwavering determination.

Self-centeredness has spawned another phenomenon, which is irresponsibility. How has the mass media contributed to unfaithfulness, even among church members?

18. 3. Called to Be Faithful In Daily Living {105} Components of faithfulness: Dependability means people can count on you. Honesty is truthfulness. It is not going to lie or cheat or steal. Integrity is like a code of honor. Loyalty is allegiance. It is standing by someone even when times get tough.

The issue that confronts God’s people today is not “Will God be faithful?” The crucial issue is, “Will I be faithful until the end?” In many ways the answer to the question about the future can be found in the present.
