WHAT IS HOPE CREW? Hands-On-Preservation-Experience (HOPE) Crew is an initiative of the National Trust for Historic Preservation (NTHP) in partnership with The Corps Network (TCN). Program Mission: To train thousands of young people in preservation crafts, rehabilitate hundreds of historic sites each year, and open the world of preservation to a new group of young and diverse supporters. Each HOPE Crew project is a partnership, with NTHP providing preservation expertise, TCN providing and coordinating a network of expert member Corps, a partner (such as a Corps) providing crew participants, and a site-owner providing the historic property in need of preservation. By partnering with NTHP, we can provide crafts experts who directly train Corpsmembers in all 50 states and the District of Columbia. By partnering with NTHP, we can connect to a larger network of people and parks that can help identify, provide funding for, and support youth corps work nationwide. 7
