1. UK’s Reporting Strategy SAP’s Business Warehouse (BW) is the long-term solution for reporting. Business Warehouse is a preferable over writing reports in the SAP online system (R/3) because of: –ease of use –snapshot or point-in-time comparisons –ability to integrate with several reporting tools (WebFOCUS, SAS, etc.) –ability to merge R/3 and non-R/3 data –ability to merge data from multiple R/3 functional areas (MM, FI, HR, etc.) –ability to report on extensive attributes of master data (fund center, grant, etc.) –analytic (drilldown, data pivots) and operational (lists) reports –preservation of processing speed in the R/3 system for more critical needs such as payroll and student registration.
