For this project you will be researching a specific topic in Earth History as it relates to dinosaurs. You will be doing your research individually. At the end of your research you will work with your group to develop a presentation for the class. Presentation Grading Rules Presentation Topics General Information and Art Work

Students will be individually assessed on this project. Each group member is expected to contribute to the overall success of the presentation. The entire project will be worth a total of 64 points. Two rubrics will be used, one will assess the appearance and content of the PowerPoint presentation and the other will assess the quality of the actual oral presentation itself. Groups doing this project will need to focus their research on the theory that dinosaur extinction happened catastrophically (very quickly) as a result of an asteroid impact. Be careful to avoid researching other theories as there is another group doing just that! Make sure that you explain any new terms and phrases to the class during your presentation. Remember, you are now going to become an expert on the Catastrophic Theory of Dinosaur Extinction.

Be careful to avoid researching the meteorite impact theory and any other theories as there are other groups doing just that! Make sure that you explain any new terms and phrases to the class during your presentation. Remember, you are now going to become an expert on the Volcanic Theory of Dinosaur Extinction.

Groups doing this project will need to focus their research on the theory that dinosaur extinction was the result of multiple causes OTHER THAN an asteroid impact or volcanic activity. Be careful not to research the asteroid impact theory or the volcanic activity theory as there are other groups doing just that. Make sure that you explain any new terms and phrases to the class during your presentation. Remember, you are now going to become an expert on the Multiple Theories of Dinosaur Extinction.
