Weight versus Mass Are they related? How are they different? A beach ball floating in water and a person floating in water both act like they are weightless. Is there a difference in what it takes to push one versus the other. Why/ why not?

Does weight make something sink? Which weighs more a quarter or a pontoon boat? Why does the boat float but the quarter sinks? What is different about the two?

Does volume make something sink? Which has more volume – a cork or a brick? Which one sinks in water? Which has more volume a balloon or a quarter? Which one sinks in water?

Problem: The ooze is floating on the top and doesn’t come down. Adding more wax will make the ooze heavier. Will this fix the problem? Why/why not What fixes this problem and how does it do it?

A person works out regularly and notices that their clothing is more loose but they weigh the same. How would you explain this to them? A person swims in salt water near Salt Lake city. They find it much easier to float than normal. How would you explain this to them? A person in quicksand is told not to take deep breaths. Even though they are afraid. How would you explain why they should take shallow breaths?
