The growth of equal rights for women in the UK
A hundred years ago women did not have rights in the UK, but during the 20th century women gained

Why attitudes have changed
During the first world war women, had to take on many jobs previously done by men and did these jobs just as well as men. The development of equal rights for women in other countries made it difficult they were not needed in the uk. The success of women as councillors and women’s work in health and social care showed that women were equals of men in these areas

KEY WORDS EQUALITY – The state of everyone having equal rights regardless of gender/race/class. Sexism –discriminating against people because of their gender( being male or female)
