1 The Carnegie Museum has everything from Dinosaur bones to Native American exhibits to information about the formation of the world. There is something for every subject. The museum is great because it can help history come alive when students are able to see replicas and exhibits first hand. The museum has also incorporated many kid friendly aspects into their exhibits such as push buttons that tell a little about the exhibit.

6 The Heinz History Center is a great resource for Pittsburgh history. There is information about the origin of Pittsburgh all the way up to the present day. In addition, there are tons of hands on activities to keep children involved as they work their way through the history of Pittsburgh.
