LAND POLLUTION: definition
Land pollution is the introduction of contaminants into the environment and the degradation of the Earth’s surface caused by an abuse of resources and improper disposal of waste. Human elements are responsible of land pollution, such as littering, dumping and also pesticides.

Some examples of land pollution: Litter found on the side of the road Illegal dumping in natural habitats Oil spills that happen inland The use of pesticides and other farming chemicals Damage and debris from unsustainable mining and logging practices Radiation spills or nuclear accidents

LAND POLLUTION: effects
Land pollution is responsible for damage done to the natural habitat of animals, deforestation and damage done to natural resources, and the general uglying up of our communities. For the humans the effects are many problems for the skin and for the respiratory system, and sometimes also cancer.
