4 REGIONS AND WHATS UNIQUE ABOUT THEM The New England colonies had 4 states, Massachusetts, Connecticut, New Hampshire, and Rhode Island. In the New England colony's they were unique because of their fishing, whaling, trapping, ship building, and logging. The Middle Colonies had 4 states just like New England, the 4 states were New York, Pennsylvania, New Jersey, and Delaware. What made them special were farming, logging, ship building, textiles, and paper making The Southern Colonies had 5 states which were Maryland, Virginia, North Carolina, South Carolina, and Georgia. What made the Southern Colonies special was farming, like rice, tobacco, and cotton
