Fluorescent = gas-discharge light that uses electricity to excite mercury vapor.
Last longer than incandescent bulbs
Color of light varies by changing the tubes coating:
Cool-white
Very efficient, blends well with sunlight, makes colors look good
Warm-white
Very cost efficient, but is not flattering to many colors
