American Indians are the Original inhabitants of North America American Indians are also known as Native Americans It is believed that Native Americans entered North America utilizing the Bering Strait, which connected Asia to Alaska AMERICAN INDIAN INTRO

American Indian’s formed tribes based on location Survival for American Indians was due to hunting and their balance with nature They would migrate when food and herbs became scare in their area AMERICAN INDIAN

American Indians would hunt for food and clothing They believed in using all parts of the animal to avoid wasting what nature has provided for them When the Europeans arrived, they would use different parts of the animal to create jewelry and goods to trade AMERICAN INDIAN

American Indians also had their fair share of wars They had their hand in the American Indian War, and also the French Indian War In the end, they suffered great losses, and the Europeans took over North America AMERICAN INDIAN

Today, 2.9 million of US population is Full Native American 5.2 million of US population is Native American, including those who are mixed There are 566 federally recognized tribes in the US There are 324 federally recognized reservations within the US 22% of Native Americans live on reservations AMERICAN INDIAN
