Student Progress Report Student RIT (Blue Bar) : This is your child’s score based on the MAP assessment scale. District Grade Level Mean RIT (Orange Bar) : This shows the average score of all students in the Superior Diocese. Norm Grade Level Mean RIT (Yellow Bar) : This is the average score of all students who took the test in the U.S.A.

Percentile Range/RIT Score Percentile Range: This is the percent at which your child is performing compared to students being tested at the same grade level. RIT Score: The closer the student gets to a RIT score of 250 that harder it is for the student to make gains. The student is seeing material that is mostly well above grade level.

Curriculum Changes: Reading 6 th Grade: 1. Literature Vocabulary: synonyms instead of definitions. 2. Providing opportunities for practice of individual informational text reading. 3. Reinforcing strategies for informational text reading: snibbet tabs, defining bolded words, pre- reading questions.
