5
Auto Recovery Module (ARM) Optional module Protects configuration information during a critical failure. Allows configuration information to be saved and reloaded to replacement module automatically.
6
Closer Look - graphic display No DIP switches necessary! Displays and sets –Network address (including IP address and subnet mask for Ethernet) –Baud rate –I/O sizes Diagnostic info –Enable / Disable diagnostic word –Self test modes (Output & I/O) –Network & Sub Bus errors –Missing module errors –Short circuit ( I/O & Sub Bus) –Firmware Rev. level –Node & I/O power voltage level –Flashes alarm at 19 V threshold –Missing Valve/Output power Advanced settings –Factory defaults –Display brightness
7
G3 Modularity – The Build! Dove tail and clip design allows modularity and secure tight connections. IP 65 & IP67 protection (without valves)
8
Removable Jumper Clips Mechanically fastens modules in for fast secure assembly. Can be inserted in either direction Includes 3 captive screws Allows removal and replacement of modules without dismantling system
9
“SPEEDCON” M12 threaded rings Robust metal ring Allows ½ turn M12 connector insertion & extraction Compatible with standard M12x1 threads Allows for comfortable space for cable access
10
Putting it all together Actual configuration of the G3 manifold with 11 modules, allowing 5 more modules on this manifold or sub-bus manifold ARM Node Module No.1 Module No. 11

So why is this modularity so important? Saves you money and time… –Sub-bus distribution – 1 node configuration. Saves you from buying the most expensive component on a manifold over and over again. Saves time on set up and configuration utilizing self addressing sub net and diagnostics capability. Modular design allows for easy assembly, expandability, and trouble shooting.

What's on the inside counts! PART NUMBER 240-XXX IO MAPPING START BYTE XX FIRMWARE V 2.XXX SET BRIGHTNESS DESCRIPTION MODULE NUMBER XX Home Screen I/O Graphic Display with User Menu
16
Local Diagnostic Webpage When “Diagnostic” tab is selected the page below is shown with manifold’s current configuration. Actual configuration of modules with part numbers and descriptions. Including distributed modules. Selects which module details will be shown. More than 1 can be selected simultaneously. Checks status of modules approx. every second Reports module status: = OK ! = Attention X = Lost comm.
17
Fast Setup of Node Now able to initiate firmware upload from web page (as well as with display). Relevant Node information, including firmware revision. Graphic of module Diagnostic word information with bit definitions. Presently shows: Error on sub-bus, Module 11 not communicating. Mapping position of “Diagnostic” word.
18
Selected “Show details” of Valve Driver Valve coil forcing capability. Can be disabled with password. Shows diagnostic status of whether coils are shorted or open..
19
Selected “Show Error/Event Log” Events that occur in the same power-up (boot) cycle. Reboot events are shown in red. Allows user to clear log Keeps a running count of 50 events. First in first out (FIFO)
20
That is what makes G3 so special Graphic display User friendly menu system –Set Network address, baud rate, subnet mask, I/O sizes, etc… –Ethernet has integrated web server with on-line diagnostics and logs Diagnostics –Visual via graphic display –Logical (1 diagnostic word) –Sensor Short Circuit –Network & Sub–bus communication errors & logging –Self test mode –Aux Power voltage level IP 65 & IP67 protection (without valves) Various distribution options, including Aux. Power Automatic sub-bus addressing (Starting byte displayed on all modules) Up to 16 module capability 1200 I/O addressing capability –Digital –Analog –Specialty G3 platform can be used without valves (I/O applications) Optional Auto-Recovery Module (ARM) –Memory module that preserves manifold configuration even during catastrophic failure
