2015 Earth Day Award Nomination
Kerr-McGee Oil & Gas Onshore, LP – a Subsidiary of Anadarko Methane Capture During Well Cleanout Operations
2
Greater Natural Buttes – Field Statistics
25 miles APC ACREAGE Vernal UTAH First Production in 1957 160,000 Acres Leasehold Current Production over 500 MMcfd 1.96 TCF of Gas Produced Identified Gas Drill Sites At Various Prices
3
GNB Investment and Production History
Have invested over 4 billion dollars over last 8 years
4
Historical Cleanout Process
Prior to Implementation of the Green Drillout Process, Well Fluids Flowed from the Wellbore to Open top Tanks or a Containment Pond During this Process, Residual Gas and Associated Entrained Gas in Fluid was Released to Atmosphere
5
Requirements and Design Considerations for Green Well Cleanout Process
A Large Enough Vessel was Required to Process a Fluid Flowrate of 9 bbls/min at a Working Pressure of 1400 PSI Gas Flowrate Through Vessel Could be as High as 4 MMcfd Collaboration with Production Group to Sell Gas During this Operation was Essential Pieces of Composite Plug Parts with a Potential to Clog the System Existed During the Entire Well Cleanout Process 9 bbls/min = 375 gallons/minute

Well Cleanout Process to Recover Methane
Completed Wells are Cleaned Out (Drilled Out) to Bring Gas On-Line for Delivery to Sales All Well Fluids are Routed Through a Large Separator During Drillout to Capture all Hydrocarbon Gases
9
2014 Statistics 114 New Drill Wells Placed On-Line During the Drillout Process to Capture Hydrocarbon Gases The Total Incremental Methane Gas Recovered in 2014 was 70.5 MMCF A WIN FOR ANADARKO AND UINTAH COUNTY 600 MCF per well
