28 Maker and judge of all We confess the sins which again and again we have so hurtfully committed against you, our Lord and King. By right you should be angry and displeased with us. We sincerely repent and are truly sorry for the wrong things we have done - Their memory is painful and more than we can bear. Have mercy on us, most merciful Father; For Jesus' sake forgive us all that is past, And renew our lives from this day That we may serve you and please you, And bring honour and glory to your name; Through Jesus Christ our Lord. Amen.

30 Lord, have mercy on us and forgive us. Forgive us that so little of your love reaches others through us, that we bear so lightly wrongs and sufferings that are not our own. Forgive us when we cherish things that divide us from others and make it hard for them to live with us. Forgive us when we are thoughtless in our judgements, hasty in condemnation, grudging in forgiveness and proud in spirit. Lord, have mercy on us and forgive us. Lord, have mercy on us and forgive us. Forgive the poverty of our worship, the formality and selfishness of our prayers, our unbelief, our neglect of fellowship, our false pretences, and our wilful ignorance of your ways. Lord, have mercy on us and forgive us. Forgive us when we waste our time or misuse our gifts. Forgive us when we excuse our own wrongdoing or evade our responsibilities. Forgive us when we refuse to overcome evil with good, when we speak unchecked words which belong to the darkness, when we draw back from the cross.
