What can you do to protect your IP Assets?
You should focus on guarding against any public disclosure of your invention before it has been registered. Clarify ownership of IP created by employees by covering this issue in the employment contracts and contracts with third parties by including IP assignment clauses and confidentiality clauses. In some cases Non Disclosure Agreement (NDA) may not be enough, you may also need to invest in a well written Joint Development Agreement (JDA), where you develop a product or invention with another person. INVEST IN WELL WRITTEN NDA & JDA HIRE AN IP EXPERT You should seek advice on how to go about registering and protecting your intellectual property by hiring a good lawyer or agent that specializes in the field.
