Outreach Services To Older Adults How Can We Help YOU??

Lobby Stop Service The lobby stop transports carts of books to Retirement communities, Assisted Living facilities, and senior centers.

Lobby Stop Service Staff unload the carts Set up a laptop with remote circulation Make new cards Checkout/Checkin Reserves

Lobby Stop Service Currently have 30 lobby stops every 3 weeks We bring: Large Type Audio Books Regular Fiction and Non-fiction Music Movies (VHS and DVD) Special Requests

Homebound Services For patrons who have difficulty getting out Can be permanent or temporary difficulty We will bring anything that checks out from the library Materials are delivered every three weeks Requests can be general or specific, and are unlimited

Homebound Services A special, separate library card is kept at Outreach Services for Homebound Patrons. It is: –Fine Free –6 week check out period –No notices are sent to patrons Patrons may have a regular library card and continue to use a branch when they are able

Homebound Services Sounds great. How do patrons sign up? –Call Outreach Services at 496-8956 –We prefer to talk to the patron personally so that Outreach staff know their preferences and that they know when we’ll be coming –Each patron gets a feedback sheet with each delivery so they can add requests or change preferences.

Other Services to Older Adults Large Type and Audio books at all locations Programs of interest to older adults Older Adult Advisory Council –Opportunity to have your say about library services –If you are interested in serving, call Debra Eisert at 496-8956.

You said something about helping us, remember? Outreach Service is for the patrons whom branch service is a difficult option, and for their families who may not be able to get out themselves. We can take one stop off your errand list, free of charge!
