Linkages between church and community Christian health providers, and members of faith communities broadly, profess a commitment to compassionate, holistic health care Have access to committed, community volunteers through church groups Coverage of (access to) vulnerable populations (especially in rural areas) Training and development of Health Workers Flexibility to test new methods, strategies, or research Credibility, built around practical experience Experience in coordinating technical support and logistics for rapid response to outbreaks and emergencies Contribute resources for health from external donors PUBLIC HEALTH ‘VALUE ADDED’ BY CHRISTIAN HEALTH CARE PROVIDERS
