What is acne? (Acne Vulgaris) The occurrence of inflamed or infected sebaceous glands in the skin; in particular, a condition characterized by red pimples on the face, prevalent chiefly among teenagers.

Types of Acne Type 1 acne: ✓ Minimal inflammation. ✓ Minimal affected area. ✓ Not painful. ✓ Irregular outbreaks. Type 2 acne: ✓ Mild inflammation. ✓ Some painful pimples. ✓ Regular outbreaks. Type 3 acne: ✓ Large, painful pimples. ✓ Nodular pimples. ✓ Frequent outbreaks. Type 4 acne: ✓ Large and painful nodules. ✓ Pustules and Cysts. ✓ Persistent Outbreak.

Facts Acne is not caused by diet. No scientific connections have been found between diet and acne. An estimated 80 percent of all people between the ages of 11 and 30 have acne outbreaks at some point. Removing your make-up before going to bed and avoiding wearing any kinds of heavy make-up can help prevent acne from flaring up.
