1 Meaningful Sound bites
God Loves you Christ died for our sins Living by faith I’ll pray for you Jesus is Lord How might others respond? What would you say next?

2 1 Corinthians 15:1-11 1Now, brothers, I want to remind you of the gospel I preached to you, which you received and on which you have taken your stand. 2By this gospel you are saved, if you hold firmly to the word I preached to you. Otherwise, you have believed in vain. 3For what I received I passed on to you as of first importance: that Christ died for our sins according to the Scriptures, 4that he was buried, that he was raised on the third day according to the Scriptures, 5and that he appeared to Peter, and then to the Twelve.

3 6After that, he appeared to more than five hundred of the brothers at the same time, most of whom are still living, though some have fallen asleep. 7Then he appeared to James, then to all the apostles, 8and last of all he appeared to me also, as to one abnormally born. 9For I am the least of the apostles nd do not even deserve to be called an apostle, because I persecuted the church of God. 10But by the grace of God I am what I am, and his grace to me was not without effect. No, I worked harder than all of them yet not I, but the grace of God that was with me. 11Whether, then, it was I or they, this is what we preach, and this is what you believed. Thank God for his written Word to us

6 Christ died for our sins
How does God deal with our missing the mark of loving others & loving God (particularly our oppression of each other)?

7 Christ died for our sins & was raised
God deals with us missing the mark of loving others & loving God by taking upon himself and overcoming the consequences of our sin – through dying and rising But God demonstrates his own love for us in this: While we were still sinners, Christ died for us. (Romans 5:8) Since Christ suffered in his body, arm yourselves also with the same attitude, because he who has suffered in his body is done with sin. (1 Peter 4:1)

8 Christ died for us/our sins
God deals with us missing the mark of loving others & loving God by taking upon himself and overcoming the consequences of our sin, through dying and rising, so that Christ can live in us. He died for us so that, whether we are awake or asleep, we may live together with him. (1 Thessalonians 5:10) I have been crucified with Christ and I no longer live, but Christ lives in me. The life I live in the body, I live by faith in the Son of God, who loved me and gave himself for me. (Galatians 2:20)

9 14Christ's love compels us,
14Christ's love compels us, 2 Corinthians 5 because we are convinced that one died for all, and therefore all died. 15And he died for all, that those who live should no longer live for themselves but for him who died for them and was raised again. 16So from now on we regard no-one from a worldly point of view. Though we once regarded Christ in this way, we do so no longer. 17Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation; the old has gone, the new has come! 18All this is from God, who reconciled us to himself through Christ and gave us the ministry of reconciliation: 19that God was reconciling the world to himself in Christ, not counting men's sins against them. And he has committed to us the message of reconciliation. 20We are therefore Christ's ambassadors, as though God were making his appeal through us. We implore you on Christ's behalf: Be reconciled to God. 21God made him who had no sin to be sin for us, so that in him we might become the righteousness of God.

10 From Amen to Action God, who from the death of sin raised you to new life in Christ, keep you from falling and set you in the presence of his glory; Jude 24 And may the Blessing of God Almighty, the Father, the Son and the Holy Spirit, be among you and remain with you always. Our Gathered worship has ended, our Worship & Service continue
