Supporting Healthy Food Choices in Recreation Facilities Move to Healthy Choices In 2005 the release of the ‘Healthy Kids, Healthy Futures – Task Force Report’ offered 47 recommendations on how to help children and young people enjoy the best possible health now and into their adult lives. ‘Move to Healthy Choices’ builds on recent efforts by schools across Manitoba to implement policies using the ‘Manitoba School Nutrition Handbook’. Supporting Healthy Food Choices in Recreation Facilities Move to Healthy Choices A healthy eating environment reinforces and supports positive messages about nutrition, sports, performance and well-being. By offering nutritious foods in recreation facilities we encourage and create opportunities for people to make healthy choices.
