Boot up meter… start/reset Press the start/reset key for at least 2 seconds to boot up the meter. And enter to the main menu. Main menu

Calibration check before test Esc enter Press Esc to go back to main menu, and move the cursor to ‘Meas.’, press enter to go to interface of measurement. Left / right up/down Left / right keys to move the cursor, and up/down keys to change the setting mode. For calibration check, the setting should be ‘NOIS, ONE, LIST, INST’.

Put on the calibrator and turn it on. Notes: keep the meter and calibrator connected tightly and solidly. Measurement interface After you turn on the calibrator, the LAFp should be 93.8±0.2 dB. Start testing… Esc enter After finishing calibration , Press Esc key to return to main menu. Move the cursor to ‘Meas.’, then press enter. Left / right up/down Left / right keys to move cursor to 2 nd box, up/down keys to changing setting to ‘OCT’ or ‘ 1/3’. Notes: the following will use 1/3 Oct as example. Measurement interface

Vary frequency… up/down Move cursor to ‘Page’, and press up/down keys to turn page to view more dBs in various frequencies. Notes: in the OCT test, all the dB value response to vary frequency is Z-weighted.

Graphic view… Move the cursor to 3 rd box, and change setting to ‘Gra.’, then you can view it in graphic form. Move cursor to here, can change the weighted setting from ‘A, C or Z’.

Big font view… Change the setting in 3 rd box to ‘BIG’, then you can focus on the one parameter that you care the most, and view it in bigger font. Move the cursor here, to pick the parameter that you want to observe.

Start testing… Move the cursor to forth box, and change the index to ‘Leq’, then it will show the equivalent continuous sound level Run Press Run to start testing.

Recall data… pause When it is doing the test, the up-corner will display ‘RUN’ ; when you press pause, the word will change to be ‘PAUSE’; when the test finished, the word shown as ‘END’. Esc After the measurement finished, the data will be auto saved in the meter’s memory. Esc key go back to the main menu, and pick ‘Data’ to recall the saved data.

Recall Data(Cont.)… Left/right Left/right keys to move cursor and pick the data that you want to read. (1/3 means 1/3 OCT test.)

Recall Data(Cont.)… left/right Press left/right keys to roll the screen horizontally. enter Press enter to view the graph. up/down up/down keys to turn the page. Out Press Out to print the data, while you have mini-printer attached Page 2 Page 1 Date Time Moderun time Range
