Alexander the Great conquered a great empire that included Greece, Persia, Mesopotamia and Egypt.
Hellenistic Culture was mostly influenced by the Greeks but also included pieces of Persian, Syrian and Egyptian cultures.
Alexander is credited with spreading Greek culture to a large area beyond the Greek peninsula.

6. Greek Painting
Ancient Greek painting is almost always done in red and black and on vases or other pottery

7. Architecture Columns are the key feature of all Greek architecture.
Columns standing in a long row look curved in the middle.
To correct this optical illusion, columns were made to bulge in the middle which made columns look perfectly straight!

8. Drama The ancient Greeks invented acting in plays.
They also invented the two basic types of drama; Comedy and Tragedy.

Hippocrates made great discoveries in medicine. His ideas are still used today
