Alpha Delta State Ohio Educational Foundation Alpha Delta State Ohio is the originator of Alpha Delta State Ohio Educational Foundation All members of Alpha Delta State Ohio are members of Alpha Delta State Ohio Educational Foundation The annual meeting of Alpha Delta State Ohio Educational Foundation is held during Alpha Delta State Convention

Alpha Delta State Ohio Educational Foundation An expanded nonprofit educational foundation will enhance the activities of Alpha Delta State Ohio Provide funding to support professional and personal growth of educators in Ohio and other countries Promote educational excellence for Ohio students and educators

Alpha Delta State Ohio Educational Foundation Member benefits that will enhance the activities of Alpha Delta State Ohio Members may apply for a scholarship Members may participate in leadership and lifelong learning events Members may apply for a chapter project stipend

Alpha Delta State Ohio Educational Foundation As a 501(c)(3) public charity, the Foundation raises funds to support Alpha Delta State Ohio. All contributions are tax deductible to the extent allowed by law Members and guests may participate in fundraising activities such as events, bingo, raffles, etc. Members and nonmembers may make donations Donations may be made in honor or in memory of someone

Expanding A.M. Boyd Overseas Foundation The structure of Alpha Delta State Ohio Educational Foundation is in place because the federal and state governments recognize the current A. Margaret Boyd Overseas Foundation as a nonprofit charity 501(c)(3) The expanded foundation will be renamed and include A. Margaret Boyd Overseas Foundation as one of its funded programs

Expanding A.M. Boyd Overseas Foundation Alpha Delta State Ohio Educational Foundation will be a 501(c)(3) nonprofit corporation All gifts and contributions to the Foundation are tax deductible to the donor to the fullest extent of the law

Expanding A.M. Boyd Overseas Foundation The processes and cost to expand A. Margaret Boyd Overseas Foundation are minimal Request a name change with Ohio Secretary of State, fee $50.00 Inform the Internal Revenue Service of the name change Contract with a CPA to complete an annual financial review, file IRS Form 990 and register with Secretary of State of Ohio

Expanding A.M. Boyd Overseas Foundation Alpha Delta State Ohio has funds to begin the Foundation. These funds will remain distinct and separate following the purpose in place for each fund A. Management of Alpha Delta State Ohio Educational Foundation Elected Board of Directors from each of the five Alpha Delta State Ohio regions to serve six year rotating terms Elected Board to serve as a Board of Directors and must include a Chairman and Secretary

Management of Alpha Delta State Ohio Educational Foundation Alpha Delta State Ohio State President, 1 st Vice President and Immediate Past State President will serve on the Board of Directors Alpha Delta State Treasurer will serve the Foundation as a non-voting member

Management of Alpha Delta State Ohio Educational Foundation Appointed Scholarship Committee will accept scholarship applications of members, grant applications of non-members and review the applications to recommend the recipients to the Board of Directors Appointed A. Margaret Boyd Overseas Committee will accept applications of members and Fulbright Scholars and review the applications to recommend the recipients to the Board of Directors

Management of Alpha Delta State Ohio Educational Foundation Appointed Foundation Project Committee will accept member and chapter applications for classroom/school and community activities to impact the education of Ohio students and make funding recommendations State President, appointed Convention Coordinator and Steering Committee assigned to assist the coordinator will seek keynote speakers to enrich those attending state convention

Management of Alpha Delta State Ohio Educational Foundation Appointed Leadership Development Committee will design and implement appropriate leadership workshops Appointed Biennial Seminar Committee will plan and implement a lifelong learning experience for members and nonmembers each biennium
