14 How was the Physical Education K to 7 IRP (2006) developed? Phase 1—Research: –The ministry partnered with a BC school district to conduct research and create a working draft. Phase 2—Review and Development: –A provincial Curriculum Review Team, with educators from across BC, provided feedback and input to the working draft. The ministry conducted further research and consultation with Physical Education experts. Part 1: Frequently Asked Questions

15 How was the Physical Education K to 7 IRP (2006) developed? Phase 3—Response Draft and Pilot Test: –Physical Education K to 7 Response Draft was posted online for public review and feedback from June to October 2005. Selected teachers from across BC also pilot tested the Response Draft from September to December 2005. The ministry revised the IRP based on the feedback gathered from public response and pilot teachers. Phase 4—Publication: –Final version of the Physical Education K to 7 IRP is expected to be available on the ministry web site during the 2006/2007 school year. Part 1: Frequently Asked Questions
