1 Release from Principality of Unloving Spirits
Teaching By Paul Kaldrovics Based on Book by Art Mathias Biblical Foundations of Freedom: Destroying Satan’s Lies With God’s Truth This is the fifth lesson for this series. God wants us to become familiar with this book called Biblical Foundations of Freedom: Destroying Satan’s Lies with God’s Truth by Art Mathias. We will learn about the following: Release from the Principality of Unloving Spirits or Self-Bitterness through Prayer

2 Man Against Two Kingdoms
God’s Principle of Self Love If we do not love ourselves, we cannot love others and God; and God is not a liar The fall of man introduced sin nature and self-hatred was born The strong armor of the Unloving Spirit consists of the following weapons Self-unforgiveness, self-resentment, self-retaliation, self-anger, self-hatred, self-violence, and suicide Matt 22: “"Teacher, which is the great commandment in the law? Jesus said to him, 'You shall love the Lord your God with all your heart, with all your soul, and with all your mind.‘ This is the first and great commandment. And the second is like it: `You shall love your neighbor as yourself.’ On these two commandments hang all the Law and the Prophets.'' Pastors, teachers and parents often teach us to consider ourselves “as nothing.” If we condemn, hate, and belittle ourselves then how are we to love our neighbors, spouses, and families as ourselves? “Self” is defined as one’s own person, an individual. This is where the battle of the 2 Kingdoms or Laws of God and sin nature rage - within ourselves. The Unloving Spirit or Kingdom of Self is the principality of self-bitterness and it has strong armor: self-pity, self-abuse, self-rejection, self-hatred, competition, self-pride, self-enthronement, false piety, self-exaltation, attention getting, excessive talkativeness, insecurity, self-mutilation (cutting), excessive eating and bingeing, self-comparison, self-idolatry, perfectionism, and self-torment. We must choose which Kingdom rules over ourselves the Kingdom of God or the Kingdom of Self which leads us to a path of self-bitterness and self-hatred that violates God’s commandment. Romans7: “When I want to do good, I don't; and when I try not to do wrong, I do it anyway. Now if I am doing what I don't want to, it is plain where the trouble is: sin still has me in its evil grasp..”

3 Aspects of Unloving Spirits
Preoccupation with Competition/Comparison Competition is rooted in self-pride and self-enthronement which is focused on me, me … Comparison keeps us from accepting who we are and leaves us unfulfilled We lose our peace and slip into self-pity We either get full of pride or slip into false humility and say “I am nothing” We then seek to exalt ourselves and speak “I will” in a prideful manner James 4: 10 “Then when you realize your worthlessness before the Lord, he will lift you up, encourage and help you..” Deut 30: 19 “I call heaven and earth to witness against you that today I have set before you life or death, blessing or curse. Oh, that you would choose life; that you and your children might live! .” Competition and self-comparison always result in bitterness either toward another or our self. Self-enthronement is also known as Narcissism since it is related to self absorption where we are the focus of everything that interests us. False humility often finds its roots in a misunderstanding of the Bible’s teaching about preferring others above oneself. “Oh well, it was nothing” instead of a simple “thank you.” Isaiah 14: 13 “For you said to yourself, I will ascend to heaven and rule the angels. I will take the highest throne. I will preside on the Mount of Assembly far away in the north. I will climb to the highest heavens and be like the Most High.”

4 Aspects of Unloving Spirits
Moving From Unforgiveness to Suicide Unforgiveness of ourselves leads to self-resentment which says “I can never do anything right” Self-resentment leads to self-retaliation which can lead to a continual pattern of victimization Our Insecurity gets linked with Fear and Rejection A battered person develops a need to be beaten to fulfill the need to hate themselves When abuse by others becomes dominant the result is self-hatred The only way to break this stronghold is to totally remove ourselves from the situation and let God heal the abuser 1 John 4: 18 “There is no fear in love; but perfect love casts out fear, because fear involves torment. But he who fears has not been made perfect in love.” Self-retaliation – we react strongly and negatively to anyone who accuses us and we feel rejected by them which we can expect because we have developed a need to be rejected. Victimization is actually a type of control which gains us attention and support outside the abusive relationship since there is sympathy for victims. Ephesians 5: 33 “So again I say, a man must love his wife as a part of himself; and the wife must see to it that she deeply respects her husband--obeying, praising and honoring him.”

5 Aspects of Unloving Spirits
Moving From Unforgiveness to Suicide We fester with Self-Anger which says “I just can’t stand myself!” We now find perfectionism, self-accusation, and self-condemnation Self-Hatred results from something that we let simmer and fester inside for a long time The next stage is Self-Violence where we commit some type of hurtful act against oneself (cutting) out of extreme shame or guilt The ultimate stage is when we entertain thoughts of Suicide or Self-Murder Timothy 2: “Again I say, don't get involved in foolish arguments which only upset people and make them angry. God's people must not be quarrelsome; they must be gentle, patient teachers of those who are wrong. Be humble when you are trying to teach those who are mixed up concerning the truth. For if you talk meekly and courteously to them they are more likely, with God's help, to turn away from their wrong ideas and believe what is true. Then they will come to their senses and escape from Satan's trap of slavery to sin which he uses to catch them whenever he likes, and then they can begin doing the will of God.” Learning to be free from an unloving spirit requires looking beyond ourselves, and really seeing others. It gives us the ability to look at those who have rejected or victimized us, and realize they have serious problems of their own. It is the ability to separate the sin from the sinner, and gives us the ability to forgive and have compassion on them. If we can see our true Godly nature, then we will not act ungodly. Galatians 6: 1-2 “Brethren, if a man is overtaken in any trespass, you who are spiritual restore such a one in a spirit of gentleness, considering yourself lest you also be tempted. Bear one another's burdens, and so fulfill the law of Christ.”

6 More Areas of Concern Self-pity is like a wet diaper, it feels good and warm at first, but the longer we sit in it the colder and smellier it gets, driving everyone else away All Kleptomania is rooted in a spirit of self-indulgence since the person who shoplifts gets fulfilled from the fix of thievery Compulsive spending is very similar to bingeing since it attempts to satisfy its love void with material possessions False piety preaches stiff upper lip when confronting ungodly behavior in others

7 Pray of Release from the Principality of Self-Bitterness
Dear Heavenly Father, in the name of Jesus, and as an act of my free will, I confess, repent and renounce my (specific sin of self-hatred). I ask you to forgive me for this sin. I purpose and choose to forgive myself for this (specific sin) from my heart. Pass out Prayer of Release from the Principality of Self-Bitterness sheet so we see the list of evidence and we can write down the name of a person that we need to forgive and then what the Holy Spirit may reveal at the end of the prayer time. Let’s all pray this prayer out loud together.

8 Pray of Release from the Principality of Self-Bitterness
I release myself from any guilt or shame because of this self-bitterness. In the name of Jesus, and by the power of His blood, I cancel Satan’s authority over me because of the self-bitterness of (specific sin). In the name of Jesus, I command this spirit of self-bitterness to go.

9 Pray of Release from the Principality of Self-Bitterness
Holy Spirit, I invite you into my heart, and to heal me of self-bitterness. Please speak your words of truth to me about this situation. Pause quietly and allow the Holy Spirit to speak to your heart. Listen carefully for what He has to say about this release from accusing spirits. Take home this Prayer of Release from Self-Bitterness sheet and continue to pray this until you are set completely FREE! At the end listen to what the Holy Spirit says about this release from the Principality of Self-Bitterness and write it down for later prayers. Use the Prayer of Release from the Principality of Self-Bitterness sheet to continue to review any evidence of self-hatred that may be bothering us and pray this prayer for full release at home.
