7. AT vs UDL ATUDL Technology is focused on compensating for an individual’s needs for skills not yet developed. Technology is individual specific. Environment/ Curriculum is designed to be flexible and work interactively with AT and other supportive technology to support the students in their learning.

8. Some Issues with UDL – Right Now Edyburn (2010) cites several issue with UDL: There exists confusion about the role of technology in UDL…technology is essential. As UDL is about design, do teachers have time to be instructional designers? UDL is not just ‘good teaching’ nor does it occur naturally. AT should be made universally available. UDL should be scientifically evaluated.
