Without global climate change, wildlife needs…. The right temperature Fresh water A food source A place to raise young

Over the last 50 years, human activities – particularly the burning of fossil fuels – have released sufficient quantities of carbon dioxide and other greenhouse gases to trap additional heat in the lower atmosphere and affect the global climate. In the last 100 years, the world has warmed by approximately 0.75 o C. Over the last 25 years, the rate of global warming has accelerated, at over 0.18 o C per decade.

Birds moved their migration time up three weeks. Loss of ice in the Arctic- polar bears drowned and spent more time on land because of their food source. (seals) There is less of a diversity of animals (salmon and trout because they need colder water to live in.) The temperature of the sand is also a factor because the sex of turtles depends on it. Hotter water temperatures also impact lobsters because it induces stress on them.
5
Caused over 140,000 excess deaths annually since 2004 Extreme Heat (cardiovascular, respiratory illness) Natural Disasters Infection At risk Islands Coastal Regions Developing countries
6
Forgo fossil fuels Infrastructure upgrade Buildings emit more that 1/3 of all greenhouse gasses Consume less Be efficient Eat smart Stop cutting down trees Unplug devices Move closer to work Transportation World Health Organization is spreading awareness about the negative effects of Global Climate Change.
