2. Keinan Abdi Warsame, also known as K’naan is a Somalian-Canadian singer, rapper, poet, songwriter and instrumentalist. He came to Canada when he was 14, after his family came to USA when he was 13. His family lives in Toronto, Ontario.

3. The song I chose by K’naan is “Wavin’ Flag” because it is a very inspiring song about the earthquake that took place in Haiti. “Wavin’ Flag” was originally written about freedom, but after the devastating disaster in Haiti, K’naan got many other artist to help him make a remix specially dedicated to Haiti. The song became a charity single and hit #1, it was also made to be the anthem for the Fifa World Cup. “Wavin’ Flag” raised more than $1 000 000 for Haiti. This song inspires me to be a better leader because it made me want to help out charities and raise money for countries that need help.

4. K’naan was a positive leader because he raised money for charities by making songs, such as “Wavin’ Flag”, he also teamed up with Bono to raise awareness for the African drought in 2010 and had many concerts for the cause.

5. I think K’naan would be considered a humanitarian leader. He has used that style of leadership and portrayed it very well.
