Declarative sentences Declarative sentences: a statement that tells something and shares information with the reader. It ends with a period. This sandwich would have been better hot.

Interrogative sentences Interrogative sentences: a sentence that asks a question. It ends with a question mark. What time is it ?

Exclamatory sentences Exclamatory sentence: a sentence that shows strong feelings such as excitement, happiness, anger, and surprise. It ends with an exclamation point. Our team won the game!

Imperative sentences Imperative sentences: a sentence that gives a direction or tells someone to do something. It ends with a period. Please hold my hat.
