Place a piece of tape on the positive side of the ball. Move the tape around until it locks up in the front part of the lane. Notice the angle the direction the tape is facing when released. There are three basic positions 0 to 30 degree 30 to 60 degree 60 to 90 degree

The single most important factor in getting the most out of your ball is the surface preparation. Out of the box finish is simply a starting point and should be adjusted to match the lane conditions, ball speed etc.
