This series of artworks by Hobart- based Milan Milojevic, illustrates the contrast between the hopes and expectations of the post-war migrants and the harsh realities they encountered on arrival here. Intead of finding their fortunes or “gold” here, many encountered difficult living conditions and a lack of job opportunities. Collection of the Artist.
