Proper Skin Care 1. Make-up Removal -waterproof/water resistant mascara liners, etc. 2. Cleanse -removes dirt, excess oils, bacteria, etc. -use tepid water -use wash cloth -Oily/normal skin uses foaming cleanser -Dry/normal skin uses cream cleanser

Proper Skin Care continued 3. Tone -balances Ph level in skin -removes leftover make-up and residue -hydrates 4. Moisturize -to protect and hydrate skin 5. Eye cream -reduces appearance of fine lines, dryness, and under-eye discoloration

Skin Care Terms Hypo-allergenic = manufacturer is saying product contains “no known irritants” -not a scientific term Non-comedogenic = product will not clog or block pores -a scientific term

Mineral Oil -Petroleum product (PETRO-) -Such big molecular structure that cannot penetrate skin -Clogs pores -Sits on skin blocking moisture coming in -also blocks air, moisture, toxins from getting out -”saran wrap”
